Helicopter Tours & Transfers

Akagera Aviation offers charters or scenic tours by helicopter throughout Rwanda.

The fleet comprises: Agusta 109, Agusta 139 and Robinson 44, which seat 6, 5 and 3 passengers respectively.

Scenic tours range from 30 minutes to two and a half hours, and promise a remarkable bird’s-eye view of the land of a thousand hills.

A privately-owned company founded in 2004, Akagera Aviation is based out of Kigali International Airport. It has offices in the main terminal building and operations take place from their dedicated hanger on the airside of the airport.

The company is licensed by the Rwandan Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA). Rwanda is a signatory state to the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), so visitors can rest assured that all services are on par with international best practices.

Akagera Aviation was appointed as a Robinson Helicopter Dealership and Service Centre in 2008, the first in the East African region.

Akagera Aviation also provides emergency medical services, aerial photography, surveys and more.
